GRACE CHIANG NICOLETTE
Founder and SVG Board Chair. Grace has many years of experience working in philanthropy in China, including establishing Social Venture Group (SVG) in 2006 and serving as its Managing Director. She is currently Director, Marketing and Programming at the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) in Boston, MA, USA, where she helps large foundations define, assess and improve their performance. She was selected as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2011.
NORA GAO
SVG Co-Founder, Former Managing Director. Nora is currently Operating Director of Provision China. She brings a wealth of nonprofit experience and local corporate relationships.
SAMUEL JONES
SVG Co-Founder. Director, Strategic Initiatives at the Wharton School’s MBA Career Management Office. He is a seasoned human resources and higher education professional with 12 years of experience working in China.
DR. JOHN CHIANG
Visiting Professor at Peking University. President of Motorola (China) Technologies from 2004-2005. PhD from the John Hopkins University and EMBA from Georgia State University. Dr. Chiang had taught many years in the US and Taiwan universities and held managerial roles for 25+ years at high-tech companies in Mainland China, Taiwan and the US. Dr. Chiang has 30 years experience in philanthropy. He was elected into Leadership Atlanta in 1995. Dr. Chiang has been a founding member of SVG board since 2006.

ZOEY LIU – ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Zoey worked as a corporate development and planning analyst at Eaton Corporation in China from 2007 to 2010. She graduated from the Shanghai International Studies University with a degree in education, and a minor degree in finance from Fudan University. She is the member of 2015 Ford growth plan for international nonprofit organization leaders.
KAREN LIU – PROGRAM DIRECTOR
SVG former Managing Director. Executive Director of Ashe Capital Management Limited, focusing on private equity investments in clean energy. Former corporate strategy & business development manager at the United Technologies Corporation and GE Energy in the US, and senior manager of public relationship, human resource and administration at CSMC Technologies (0597.HK) in Wuxi, Jiangsu. She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
LAURIE LIN – PROGRAM MANAGER
Laurie has 9 years management experience in retail business in China. She helped three US top hundred law firms set up offices in Shanghai. She was active in various entrepreneurial activities, including microfinance in Mexico and helping grassroots entrepreneurs to develop small and micro enterprises in Boston. Laurie is currently involved in consultancy work for disadvantaged adolescents’ vocational training education.
LILY HE – PROGRAM MANAGER
Lily was the partner of G&L Group Limited from 2012 to 2015 and China Operations Director of the US Indiana University Political Research Center (Beijing) from 2010 to 2012. She graduated from Peking University with a master degree in Software and Microelectronics College.
OPIEMA LIU – PROGRAM ASSOCIATE
Opiema graduated with a master degree in finance from Donghua University and had exchange experience to the United States and Sweden. She comes with a long track record as a volunteer for several nonprofit organizations, which ignites her passion for philanthropy and inspired her to join SVG.
